2024 Elections
Three elections will take place in the City of Breezy Point in 2024. They are:
- Presidential Nominating Primary - March 5, 2024
- State Primary - August 13, 2024
- General Election - November 5, 2024
Residents of Breezy Point may vote early in-person or absentee beginning 46 days before an election. In-person early voting and absentee voting is conducted by the Crow Wing County Elections Office located in the Historic Courthouse at 326 Laurel St., Brainerd, MN 56401.
In-person election day voting for Breezy Point residents will be held in City Hall located at 8319 Co. Rd. 11, Breezy Point, MN 56472 from 7:00am to 8:00pm.
Voter Registration
Those seeking to register to vote may do so through the Minnesota Secretary of State’s Office or may do so in-person on election day (see Secretary of State’s website for required documentation for election day registration).
Those desiring to vote absentee may request an absentee ballot through the Crow Wing County Elections Office 218-824-1051 or through the Minnesota Secretary of State’s Office.
City of Breezy Point 2024 City Council Election
The City of Breezy Point will have the following positions/seats on the ballot during the General Election to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024:
- Mayor - two year term January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2026. Currently held by Angel Zierden.
- City Council - four year term January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2028. Currently held by Rebecca Ball.
- City Council - four year term January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2028. Currently held by Steve Jensen.
The candidacy filing period will be from July 30, 2024 to August 13, 2024.
Presidential Nominating Primary
The Presidential Nominating Primary will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024. This is a partisan election, and voters will be required to select a major party preference to receive a ballot for that party's candidates. The purpose of the election is to inform the major parties which candidate should be nominated for the November General Election ballot.
In-Person Early Voting
In-person early voting for the Presidential Nominating Primary begins Friday, January 19, 2024. Voters may vote early in-person at the Crow Wing County Elections Office located in the Historic Courthouse at 326 Laurel St., Brainerd, MN 56401.
In-person early voting hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday (except legal holidays) and the Saturday preceding the election from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

Election Day Voting
In-person election day voting for Breezy Point residents will be held in City Hall located at 8319 Co. Rd. 11, Breezy Point, MN 56472 from 7:00am to 8:00pm.
State Primary
The Minnesota State Primary will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2024. This is a partisan election that allows voters to vote for candidates of one political party and potentially nonpartisan officers to select candidates to move forward to the November General Election ballot.
2024 General Election
The 2024 General Election will occur on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
