On May 16, 1969, the Breezy Point Police Department began a modern department with the appointment of its first full time officer.
The Breezy Point Police Department is celebrating our 50th Anniversary with the issuance of a commemorative coin. The Department of Public Safety’s original seal depicting a life ring and nautical flag with anchor is on one side and an image of the current badge opposing. The flag and anchor is actually a sculpture that sits at the entrance to the Breezy Point Resort’s boat marina.
** Coins can be purchased for $10 each at the police department during regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mon-Fri.
